Our programs balance social, artistic, and athletic activities, along with intellectual pursuits. We offer unique programs such as the Empowered Learning program and Total Physical Response (TPR) language learning. We have expertise in working with Gifted and Talented, ADHD, Learning Disabled and GTLD (Gifted and Talented with Learning Disabilities) students.
We facilitate cultural understanding through an International Culture Center. The International Culture Center operates on the educational philosophy that guided cross-cultural experiences increase awareness and understanding. Students have opportunities to develop an appreciation for other cultures. They "travel" through books, videos, meeting people from other lands, student exchange opportunities, learning about other languages, museum trips, planning cultural extravaganzas and exhibits. In our cultural center, we work with The Prejudice Institute to promote multicultural harmony and awareness. Teachers and mentors from a wide variety of backgrounds share their cultural experiences with the students, providing them with a learning environment of meaningful exchange and enrichment.
