Interview Prep

Many college admissions offices are putting more emphasis on how you present yourself in a personal interview. These interviews may occur during a campus visit with your parents, an admissions officer’s visit to your high school, or a meeting with the college’s alumni representative. Preparing for this interview can be overwhelming and nerve-wracking. As part of our program, counselors will guide you through this process. Understanding questions that may be asked or ones that you should ask are all very important to your success. Through research strategies, mock interviews and tutor’s you'll be ready for anything they throw at you!

Preparing for a Job Interview

What is the toughest question that you will be faced with in your next interview? Despite digital resumes, human resources website software and world-wide video conferencing, the interview can still make or break your chances to land that quality job. We provide you with the tools and techniques to present yourself with confidence, honesty and in the best light.

Our support services will help you:

• Prepare your resume
• Write the cover letter and gather the follow-up information
• Coach yourself during the interview process

Our program serves you in all areas of your academic, personal and professional life as you mature from student to working adult. Basic life events requiring an interview become less stressful: getting a loan, renting an apartment or buy a condo, registering for health or insurance benefits, obtaining a volunteer or political post—even enrolling a child at a new school, thus completing the circle. Your success is our concern.

Scholarship Interviews

You have successfully navigated the applications and other forms for securing a college scholarship and now you have made it to the interview stage. What is next, what do you do and say and, most importantly, what is going happen? Our staff, through financial aid and scholarship/grant source research, interview tips and communication techniques, help you prepare to answer the two basic question you will face: why should someone give you money, and how will you put it to it’s best use!

Internship Interviews

In this competitive and dynamic job market, often an internship is more valuable than paid temporary work! An internship interview does not have to be a scary process. This is a conversation between you and the association, institution or corporation to see if there is a fit between your goals and their program. Our counselors provide you with individualized instruction for taking time and thought to lay the groundwork which increases the odds that your meeting will be productive.
